Your first days in Mistria
Meet the villagers, collect the tools Celine and the town provide, clear only the space you need, and plant your first seeds. You do not need to optimize every hour: forage on the way to town, check the request board, and keep a little wood, stone, fiber, and seasonal produce in storage.
Build a manageable farm
Use the shovel to make soil, the hoe to till it, then plant and water seeds. Start with a small plot you can water comfortably. Check each seed's growth time before planting late in the season, and remember that regrowing crops can pay off over many harvests.
A simple early routine
- Water crops and care for animals.
- Check mail and the request board.
- Choose one focus: fishing, gathering, town errands, or the mines.
- Return with enough time to store, sell, and prepare for tomorrow.
Raise Town Rank
Complete story quests, requests, and museum sets to help restore Mistria. Town Rank unlocks important progress, including access to the mines. Donate your first museum copy before selling rare seasonal finds.
Unlock and explore the mines
The mines reopen after the related story request and Town Rank 10. Bring food, watch both stamina and health, and upgrade your pickaxe when possible. Each twenty-floor region introduces different ore, gems, fish, bugs, monsters, and forageables.
Spend Essence with a plan
Essence unlocks skill perks at dragon statues. Early quality-of-life perks are often more valuable than narrow bonuses: choose upgrades that fit what you do daily, whether that is farming, fishing, mining, cooking, or crafting.
Essential tips
- Keep one or two of every unusual item until you know its museum, quest, recipe, or gift use.
- Talk to villagers while running errands; friendship grows without needing perfect gifts.
- Birthdays make gifts especially valuable, so check the calendar.
- There is no official multiplayer mode; the Steam release is single-player.
- You can continue an Early Access save in version 1.0.
